Rental terms and conditions

  1. DRIVE TIME here by, rents to the undersigned renter, the vehicle described on the first page of the agreement. The terms and conditions contained in the agreement have been read and accepted by the signed renter.
  2. Only the person(s) referred to in the agreement will be permitted to drive the vehicle(s).
  3. The renter conforms here by, that before taking delivery of the vehicle(s) he has examined it and found it without any defects, except those shown on the remarks (1st page).
  4. The renter agrees to take care of the vehicle.
  5. The vehicle is forbidden to leave the island of Naxos.
  6. The renter will return the vehicle concerned with all tools, accessories and equipment to DRIVE TIME station in the place where the vehicle was rented or as otherwise specified on the undersigned pages of the agreement. Prolongation of rental period is under the lessor’s approval.
  7. In case of breakdown or mechanical damage the customer is responsible for transporting the vehicle back to the store. If it is not possible then the store should be informed of the exact location and will arrange collection for which the customer is obliged to pay. The customer will also be charged for any damage occurring to the vehicle(s) including punctures.
  8. The renter being responsible for an accident or damage to the vehicle must pay to the lessor the corresponding daily agreed amount for the days the vehicle is immobilized.
  9. All fines and court costs for parking, traffic or other legal violations assessed against the vehicle renter during this agreement are at the renters expense and is obliged to pay the fines in the responsible authority. Parking or waiting along Naxos Town seaside road is prohibited at any time. Please use free public parking areas.
  10. The lessor reserves the right to repossess the vehicle at any time without notice, at the customer’s expense, if vehicle is used in violation of this agreement.
  11. Only the persons referred in the agreement will be permitted to drive the car. The car will not be operated: a) for paid transportation b) to propel or tow any vehicle or transport c) in any race, speed test or contest d) by any person under the influence of intoxicants or narcotics e) to carry passengers in excess of the respective seating capacity f) on other than a paved road or public highway g) by any person without lessor’s prior permission h) by someone, less than 23 years of age, or a disqualified or unlicensed driver or has the driving licence for less than a year.
  12. DRIVE TIME is not liable to the renter or the passengers for any kind of inconvenience caused through mechanical breakdowns or accidents.
  13. INSURANCE COVERAGE: All vehicles are covered by Third Party Liability insurance according to the current legislation up to the amount of 1.220.000 EURO for material damages and the amount of 1.220.000 EURO for bodily injuries. The renter is fully responsible for any and all material damages and/or bodily injuries valued beyond the above mentioned coverage amounts. C.D.W. and F.D.W. are available with an extra charge. Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.)The renter can limit his responsibility for his legal share in any damage of the vehicle to 500 euro.If the renter wishes to waive his total responsibility for any damage of the vehicle he must choose Full Damage Waiver (F.D.W.). In the case of material damages during the course of the lease, the renter is required to pay to the Lessor the total of damages and expenses that have arisen. This includes any expenses incurred for the repossession of the automobile, as well as compensation for the inability of its use, unless the renter has signed acceptance of C.D.W. or F.D.W. on the front page of the document. The vehicle driver is covered with personal insurance of 12.000 euros. Coverage is not provided: a) if any unauthorized driver is driving the rented car b) for damage loss or theft of baggage and other property found in the car. There is no insurance coverage if the driver is under the effect of alcohol, any kind of drugs or in case of traffic rules violation (speed limit e.t.c.). Damages to interior space, underneath the car, the loss or distruction of keys and the destruction of the tires are not covered by any insurance
  14. CANCELLATIONS: The driver can cancel free of charge until 14 days before pickup. Cancellations within 14 days of pickup: advance deposit is retained. No show: 100% of total is charged. Early drop off: 100% of total is charged. "Special discounted price" reservations are non refundable.
  15. PERSONAL INFORMATION: DRIVE TIME will keep Renter’s personal information filled in the form overleaf, in its records in order to ensure the proper performance of the agreement and improve the administration and management of its car rental business.
